Mary D. Bramlett

Mary D. Bramlett, age 89, passed away on December 4, 2022, at Owenton Manor. Born November 18, 1933, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Sim and Luli Wilhoite Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters; Mae Walker and Charlotte Burke and her brothers SJ, Harold, and  David Smith.

Mary is the widow of Duard Bramlett and worked as a homemaker. She loved caring for her family, attending church, crocheting, and shopping. At any time, if you came to her door, she was willing to feed you and was known for her home-cooked meals, especially fried chicken and fish. Mary had a contagious smile and laugh, which came from her sweet spirit.

Mary will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Duard Bramlett, Gary Bramlett and Linda Dougherty; eight grandchildren, Mary Lynn, Felicia, Gary E., Destiny, Travis, and Brandon Bramlett, Linda Offutt, and Stanley Humbert. Also surviving are her siblings, Glenna Long, Ray Smith, Linda New, Brenda Kay Miller, Larry Smith, and Judy Smith.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of the arrangements. A private memorial service will be held in her honor.
