Mary Alice Ayres

Mary Alice Ayres, age 89, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at South Arkansas Regional Hospital.

Born September 2, 1934, in Owen County she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Calista Lusby Wainscott.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arville J. "Gene" Ayres; her daughter, Donna Link; and her brothers, Leonard Malcomb, and Don Wainscott.  Mrs. Ayres was a retired bookkeeper for Beau Townsend Ford and a member of First Light Baptist Church in Vandalia, OH.

She is survived by her children, Ann (Leonard) Wagers, Cindy (Gary) Hoskins, and John (Dana) Ayres; her grandchildren, Daniel (Natalie) Wagers, Lucas (Paige) Wagers, Samuel Wagers, Garrett (Heather) Hoskins, Kendall (Ian) DaSilva, Jacob Hoskins, Kyli Hoskins, Joshua Ayres, Julieanna Ayres, Gabriel Ayres, Caleb Ayres, Calista Ayres, Ransom Phelps and Jesse Link; many great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Hale.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A graveside service will be held in the Owenton Cemetery on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11 am.  Please meet at the Main Street location at 10:30 to follow in procession.
