Marie Ogden Snell

Mary "Marie" Snell, age 93, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Gallatin Nursing and Rehab, in Warsaw, KY.

Born July 9, 1928, in Sanders, KY, she was the daughter of the late Willie Tilden and Cleo Welch Ogden. She was the widow of William "Bill" Carter Snell and also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Faye Stewart, and her siblings, Gilbert Ogden, Stanley Ogden, and Evelyn Samson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sanders Baptist Church and will be remembered as always caring for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Ricky (Lana) Snell, Vickie (Mark) Bourne, Billie (Terry) Patterson, and Lou "Poodle" (Doug) Taylor; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Lula Mae "Sug" Howard and Margaret Williamson.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A private graveside service will be held in the Owenton Cemetery on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
