Marie Sparrow Kemper

Marie Sparrow Kemper, age 93, of New Liberty, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Owenton Center. Born March 4, 1923, in Anderson County, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruby Casey Sparrow and the widow of Clinton "Bubby" Kemper. Marie was a homemaker and an active member of the New Liberty Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and member of the WMU. She enjoyed farming, cooking and caning chairs. Surviving are her son Don (June) Kemper; her brother, A.C. Sparrow; her sister in law, Verna Payne; her nephews, Roger and Dick Sparrow and Billy Payne and her 8 great nephews. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 11am until 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Dwight Parker presiding. Burial will be int eh Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
