Margie Wright

Margie Wright, 72, of Owenton, passed away Saturday July 19h at the Gallatin Health Care Center. Born August 23, 1935, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Lizzie Jane Cook Wright. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ralph, Clarence, George Robert and Marvin Wright and Mary “Mae“ Wright. Margie was a former custodian at the Owen County Hospital and a member of the Monterey Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sisters, Annie B. Cook of Owenton and Rachel Perkins of Lexington. Pall bearers will be Miss Wright’s nephews. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Monday, July 20th, from 5 -8pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11am with Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Columbus Cemetery Fund.
