Margie Jean Greene

Margie Jean Greene, age 76, of Owenton, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born July 10, 1940 in Gallatin County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Parthenia Johnson Perkins and the widow of Jack Greene. Also preceding her in death were her grandson, Drew Mason; brothers, Jess and Buddy Perkins and sisters, Beatrice Sipple and Betty Adams. Margie was a homemaker and a member of the Long Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Randy (Tammy) Mason, Rodney (April) Mason and Ricky (Missy) Mason; her grandchildren, Miranda, Samantha, Andie, Ryan, Hunter, Alisha and Brittany; her great grandson Brayden and her three sisters, Virginia Hughes, Juanita Chilton and Dorothy Duvall. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Sunday, September 4th from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
