Margery Louise Morgan Alexander

Margery Louise Morgan Alexander, age 88, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born August 8, 1926, in Wheatley, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Virginia Houchens Morgan and preceded in death by her brother Gilmer Morgan. Margery was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church and attended Dallasburg Baptist. She was a former book keeper and secretary for Elk Lake Property Owners Association and the Owen County Sheriff's Office. She was also a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Jimmy (Belinda) Alexander; her sister, Florence Stephenson; five grandchildren, Aaron (Gwen) Alexander, Andrew (Abby) Alexander, Michelle Jones, Angela (Rick) Pulliam and Doug (Sarah) Perkins. Twelve great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, December 17th from 11am until 1pm. Burial will be in the Wheatley Cemetery with Bro. Tim Sperduto presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Dallasburg Baptist Church.
