Margaret C. Johnson

Margaret C. "Marge" Johnson, age 92 of Tucson, AZ, and formerly of Owenton, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Marge was born September 23, 1929, in Louisville, KY, to the late Harvey and Lilly Wortham Clemons. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Alford and Roy Johnson; her sons, Thomas Alford and Gilbert Alford; two grandchildren; and her siblings, Marcella Cole and Wanda Garrett. Marge was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and worked for over 17 years at Morgan and Thomas Drug Store.

She is survived by her children, Jonathan Alford of Tucson, AZ, Bonnie Alford of Troy, OH, Sharon Cook of Brookville, OH, and Vicky Cunnagin of Illinois; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of local arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Thursday, from Noon until 1 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Dale Adkins presiding.  Burial will be in the Vevay Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
