Margaret Sue Gaines

Margaret Sue Gaines, age 71, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Frankfort regional Medical Center.

Born August 8, 1949, in Oxford Ohio, she was the daughter of Burchell and Elizabeth Taylor Wagers and preceded in death by her husband Clarence Gaines, her three sisters, Jackie Hicks, Magaline "Tag" King, Ann Combs, also one granddaughter, Heather Burford. Margaret was devout lifelong member of Remnant Baptist Church. Margaret enjoyed spending her time cooking, mowing the lawn, and especially fishing.

She is survived by her one son, Gary (Amanda) Gaines; her two daughters, Clara Burford and Tammy Wilson; her siblings; Toni Stewart, Wanda Wagers, Bill Wagers, David Wagers; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Remnant Baptist Church on Saturday October 3, 2020 from 11-1 PM. This will be a pass-through visitation with social distancing and masks required. Funeral services will follow at Remnant Baptist Church at 1 PM with Bro. Darren Wolford presiding. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery.
