Louise B. Rose, 94, of Owenton, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at New Horizons Medical Center. Born May 8, 1914, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Aletha Poteet Baldwin and the widow of W.C. Rose. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward J. Baldwin and her sister Rose Greene. Mrs. Rose was a Homemaker and a member of the Owenton First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School and Bible School Teacher. She was also a member of the Owen County Women’s Club. Mrs. Rose is survived by her daughter Beverly Johns of Owenton and six grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, April 16th, from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Friday at the funeral home with Bro. Jesse Bourne and Bro. Jim Craigmyle officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Family Life Center or the American Heart Association.
