Louis Dean Chandler

Louis Dean Chandler, age 69, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.Born June 24, 1948, in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Louis and Nadine "Deana" Coleman Chandler and was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Darrow Lea Chandler.  Louis Dean was a graduate of Owen County High School, went on the attend Eastern Kentucky University for two years and also served in the  Kentucky National Guard.  He enjoyed sports and loved playing both softball and basketball.  He loved spending time with his brother, playing pool and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.He is survived by his children Aimee and Louis Jay Chandler; their mother, Cheryl Chandler; and his siblings, Charlie (Theresa) Chandler and Kim Goodrich.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Ariana Nordman and Ashton Link and great grandchildren, Rylan and Gracelyn as well as several nieces and nephews.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 4 - 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1pm with Bro. Brad Banks presiding.
