Lou Ann Wainscott

Lou Ann Wainscott, age 81, of Owenton, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, at the home of her great-niece.Born March 18, 1936, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Eunice Mae Johnson Criswell.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jimmy Wainscott as well as several siblings including Don, Buster, Pearl, Mary, and Eloise.  Lou Ann was a longtime member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church and was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the Department of Revenue.Survivors include her great-niece Paula Cooke Sanders; her sisters Patsy Gibson of Georgetown and Gladys Fitzgerald of Owen County and many other nieces and nephews.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday, February 5, 2018, in the Owenton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
