Lois Ashcraft Von Bokern

Lois Ashcraft Von Bokern, age 73, of Owen County, KY, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Select Specialty Hospital at St. Elizabeth in Fort Thomas. Born May 13, 1938, in Covington, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Catherine Talley Ashcraft and was also preceded by her brother Richard Noel Ashcraft. Mrs. Von Bokern was retired from Cincinnati Bell where she worked in Directory Assistance. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Surviving are her husband Bernard Von Bokern; her sons, Mark (Cheryl) Von Bokern of Lafayette, CO, Daniel (Delia) Von Bokern of San Benito, TX; her daughters, Julie Lukehart of Owenton and Rebecca (Tom) Badia of Independence; her sister, Donna Sue Clark of Georgetown, OH; six grandchildren, Melanie Maples, Shannon (Chris) Scott, Joseph, Jordan and Jonathan Von Bokern and Charles Merrill. Three great grandchildren, Ryan Wood and Aiden and Carter Scott also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the 202 Main Street location on Wednesday, March 14th from 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mother of God Catholic Church, 119 West 6th Street, Covington on Thursday, March 15th at Noon with Father Ray Hartman officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
