Linda Gail Stivers

Mrs. Linda Gail Stivers, age 74, of the Squiresville community, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at her residence. Born January 1, 1939, in Henry County she was the daughter of the late Bill Greene Bryant and Willie Leach Bryant. Also preceding her in death was her grandson, Lucas Mason and her siblings Glenna Duvall, Patsy Dees and Larry Bryant. Mrs. Stivers was a homemaker, a farmer and worked for Lerman's Department Store. Most important to her was she was a member of the Squiresville Baptist Church and devoted to her family. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Donald Stivers; her daughters, Karen (Jerry) Ruby, Cindy (Rick) Perkins, Beckie Stivers and Shawn Beth Stivers; her sister, Norma Jean Downey; seven grandchildren, Josh, Leah (Casey), Eli, Jeremy, Kadee (Robby), Kellye and Savannah (Danyull); seven great-grandchildren, Breeanna, Kaden, Dylan, Daisy, Kylee Ann, Serenity and Eli. Also surviving are "Travelin' Sisters", Daphna and Louann Maiden, Betty Clark, Jeri Gibson, Lorena Wilder, Judy Montfort and Lois and Lynn Daughtery. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Squiresville Baptist Church, on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from Noon until 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Craig Howard presiding. Burial will be in the Squiresville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Squiresville Baptist Church.
