Linda Simon, a redheaded spitfire with a sharp wit and a heart full of love, passed away on March 14, 2025 at 72.
She was a powerhouse of personality — bold, funny, and fiercely loyal to those she loved.
She had a way of making her presence known, whether through a perfectly timed wry remark or a heartfelt gesture that showed just how much she cared. She lived unapologetically, embracing life with humor, resilience, and an unshakable devotion to her family. Her humor was her armor, her laughter was contagious, and her words—sometimes blunt but always honest—left a lasting impression.
Above all, she was devoted to her family, standing by them through every high and low, never wavering in her love and support. She was the one you could count on, the one who would fight for you, and the one who could turn even the hardest moments into something a little lighter with a well-placed wisecrack.
She is survived by her husband A. J. Simon, her children, Brandi Simon, Jenny Simon, and A.J. Simon and daughter in law, Kelly Simon; her grandchildren, Kaylan Frisch, Sarah Simon-Patches, Abbie Simon, Baylie Simon, Jackson Simon, Macey Lauder Covington and husband Kendall Covington, and Dylan Lauder; her sister Nona Robinson and husband Orville Lee Robinson, and her brothers Richard Rogers, Frankie Rogers, and David Hardin. She was preceded in death by her parents Whit and Beulah Hardin, her sisters Gene Kidney and Betty Kuhn and her brother, Lloyd Rogers.
The strength of her spirit, endless loyalty and the wholehearted laughter she brought into the lives of her family and friends will be forever cherished.
To honor her memory, the family invites you to share a joke, a story, or a moment of kindness with someone today—and let them know they are loved.
A celebration of her life will be held in May 2025. In lieu of flowers, simply raise a glass in her honor and toast to a life filled with love, laughter, and a lot of sass.
New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 18th with burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.
