Linda Lou Karsner, age 79, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Born June 3, 1941, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Arville J. and Edna Mae Johnson Ayres. She was the widow of Billy Claude Karsner and also preceded in death by her siblings, Gene Ayres, Eris Waldrop, and Velma Rose Clifton. Linda was a member of Old Cedar Baptist Church, a homemaker, and a farmer. She spent much of her time raising and training dogs and horses. She enjoyed raising several breeds of dogs, including Australian Shepherds, Toy Poodles, and Mini Aussies.
She is survived by her sons, Tony (Michelle) Karsner, Thomas Scott (Sandra) Karsner, and Troy (Armela) Karsner; eight grandchildren, Amber Wagers, Meagan Greenlee, Matthew Karsner, Cassandra Cornish, Cody Karsner, Olivia Karsner, Billie Dean, and Jason Dean; eight great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Gage, Reed, Damian, Dylan, Maddie, Easton, and Waylon. She is also survived by a host of extended family.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 11 AM - 2 PM for a pass-thru visitation. Mask and social distancing are required. Funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Bob Karsner and Bro. Everett Hawkins presiding. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery.
