Linda Wyatt Adkins

Linda Wyatt Adkins, age 73, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Baptist Health in Lexington.

She was born May 5, 1951, in Campbell County to John and Winnie Fornash Wyatt. Linda married the love of her life, Dale Adkins, from Lusby's Mill, on October 31, 1969.  She went on to graduate from Owen County High School in the class of 1970, finishing school a year early. Linda served her Savior through Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She retired from the Owen County Extension office as a Family Development Program Assistant and enjoyed making crafts, decorating her home for each season, especially Christmas, and raising flowers.

She will be missed by her devoted husband, Dale Adkins; her loving children, Leann of Owenton and Todd (wife Amy) of Lebanon, TN; her precious grandchildren, Marissa, James, Jonah, Sienna, and Rachel; her beloved sisters, Nancy Stevens of Lake Wales, FL and Ginny Smither of Mt. Juliet, TN; sister in law, Donna McClane; as well as a host of extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Carless McClane, Sammy Wyatt, and Bill Wyatt.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 4 - 8 pm at the Main Street location.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 11 am.  Bro. Craig Howard and Bro. Dale Griggs will preside. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery with a meal to follow at the church.  Memorial contributions in Linda's memory may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
