Lida Mae Smith Abbott

Lida Mae Smith Abbott, 75, of Carrollton passed away Wednesday May 10 2016 in Carrollton. She was born in Nicholas County, KY the daughter of the late Lloyd Elden and Josephine Jones Smith. She was a housewife, caregiver and farmer. Surviving are her husband Franklin D. Abbott, three daughters, Mary Westrick, Peggy Compton and Pamela Riley, five sisters, Nancy Bullock, Janice Louise Walker, Anise Jean Coles, Eula Fay Hurst and Kathy Thorpe, two brothers, Elden and Bobby Smith. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday May 12 from 4 to 8 at Main St. The funeral is Friday May 13 at 11 AM at Main St. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery.
