Leroy Gordy

Leroy Gordy, age 78 and a resident of Sparta, passed away Wednesday, February 23rd, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood. He was the son of the late Edward and Addie Webster Gordy. He is survived by his wife, Christine Furnish Gordy; three daughters: Loretta Lawson of Sparta, Vicky Logsdon of Worthville, and Rhonda Wainscott of Worthville; two sisters: Mary Terrell of Cold Springs and Brenda Howell of Milroy, IN; one brother: Evans Gordy of Worthville; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 4 until 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw with funeral services Saturday beginning at 2pm. Bro. Darrell Maines will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to The St. Elizabeth Hospice Center.
