Leon Smith, Jr.

Leon Smith, Jr., 59, of Lockport died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Baptist Hospital Northeast. Born April 12, 1949, in Henry County, he was the son of the late Leon and Stella Bea Rogers Smith and was preceded in death by his brother Floyd Henry Smith. He is survived by his two brothers Richard Allen Smith of New Castle and Chester Smith of Lockport and one sister Louise True of Lakeland, FL. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Tuesday December 9th, from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, with Bro. Barry Broyles officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Minish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Minish Cemetery Fund at People’s Bank.
