Lenny Gene Marksberry

Lenny Gene Marksberry, 57, of Owenton, died Sunday November 30, 2008 at his home following a long illness. Born, September 10, 1951, in Kenton County he was the son of the late Leonard and Margaret Freeman Marksberry and was preceded in death by his sisters, Marlana Marksberry and Janie Baird. Lenny was retired from Jim Beam Distillery. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Deborah Gibson Marksberry; four daughters, Autumn (Brian) Brumer of Florence, Ginger (Tater) Davis, Paula (Bryan) Bond and April (Mark) Ueltschi all of Owenton; four brothers, Rick Marksberry of Covington, Randy Marksberry of Dry Ridge, Harold Baird of Taylors Mill and Bobby Eubanks of Covington; one sister, Debbie (Ray) Marksberry of Florida; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends for visitation at the Main Street location on Tuesday, December 2nd from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier and Bro. Kendall Collins presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Greenup Fork Baptist Church – Children’s Choir or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
