Lena A Lynn

Lena A. Lynn, age 84, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY.

Born March 17, 1941, in Owen County, she was one of five children born to the late Ben Harvey and Anna Gaines Johnson.  Lena was the widow of Charles Thomas Lynn, who preceded her in death in 1988.  Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Bennie Johnson, Betty Gibson, Doris Burke, and Opal Decker. Lena was a member of Camp Pleasant Church and a homemaker who babysat children most of her life.  She will be remembered as a wonderful caregiver who loved her family and raised several nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Margie (Jorge) Baeza, son Bennie Burford; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Benjamin, Jessie, Amanda and Judith; as well as eleven great-grandchildren.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends for visitation at the Main Street location on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 11 am until 1 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.  Cremation will follow services.  Memorial contributions may be made to New Funeral Home for expenses.
