Laverne Smith Jump

Laverne Smith Jump, 83 of Owenton, passed away on Tuesday, September 30th at the Golden Living Center in Frankfort. She was the daughter of the late Grundy and Lora Gayle Toole Smith. She was the wife of the late John F. Jump. She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Linda Kay Patton and two grandchildren; Chad Robert Jump and Christopher Lane Hawkins. Laverne is survived by her three sons; Ronnie Jump of Frankfort, Johnny Bob Jump of Owenton, and Jeff Jump of Owenton. Two daughters; Peggy Williams of Frankfort and Joyce Tuggle of Owenton. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11am at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Main Street. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm. burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Frankfort Mission Clinic or to a charity of choice.
