Larry Wayne Vannarsdall

Larry Wayne Vannarsdall, 84, of Worthville, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Born July 8, 1940, in Owen County, he was one of thirteen children born to the late Olen and Virginia Wilson Vannarsdall.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Foster, and his siblings, Rita, Patsy Ann, Sharon, Jimmy, and Gene Vannarsdall, and Donna Duncan as well as his long-time companion and friend, Sherry O'Banion Noel . Larry was a dedicated member of Dallasburg Baptist Church and a retired truck driver.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army, stateside, during the Vietnam War. Larry loved tractors and farming, and never missed a chance to go fishing. Most of all he loved people and visiting with family and friends.

Larry will be missed by his daughters, Brenda Howe, Melissa (Lawrence) Riddle, Tammy (Wayne) Harris, and Melanie Stidham; his grandchildren, Angela, Adam, Michael, Amanda, Katie, Elaina, Matt, Megan, Jenna, Jake, Brad, Ronnie, and Abby; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings, Ronnie, Dickie, and Johnny Vannarsdall, Judy Cobb, Diane McKinney, and Susan New; as well as his faithful canine companions, Jake and Bella.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Monday, August 26, 2024, at Dallasburg Baptist Church.  Visitation will begin at 11 am.  Bro. Michael David and Bro. Matt Harris will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to Dallasburg Baptist Church.
