Larry Wayne Neal, age 72, of Owenton passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home. Born November 3, 1944, in Owen County, he was the son of the late W.T. and Aretta Juett Neal. He was the son-in-law of the late George and Mary Kingkade. Larry was devoted to his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He worked for the Department of Fish and Wildlife and retired as a machinist for IBM after 30 years of service. He was a devout member of Richland Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and a Sunday school teacher as well as being actively involved in the Awana's program. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Sandra Kingkade Neal; his children, Larae (Mike) Sloan, Jonathan (Brandy) Neal and Michael (Kelly) Neal; his sister, Joan (Don) Hedrick; Sister-in-law, Ava Joe Gibson and Brother-in-law, George (Judy) Kingkade. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Nathan, Taylor and Leighann Neal, Ariana Neal, Dakota and Kiara Rodgers, Morgan, Piper and Maddigan Walker, Janene (Roy) Jones, Devin Sloan, Michael (Kristy) Sloan; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Charity, Makayla, Dakota, Hailey, James, Jordyn, Giaonni, Javon, Destiny and Dakota as well as numerous nieces and nephews. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday with Bro. Brian Blair presiding. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Richland Baptist Church Awanas.
