Larry Larmour

Lawrence "Larry" Leo Larmour, age 76, of Owenton passed away, Friday, October 23, 2020, at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Born September 24, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Leo Fredrick and Margeurite Anderson Larmour. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Combest Larmour, and his brothers, Billy and Jimmy Larmour. Larry was a retired electrical engineer for Kentucky Education Television, having managed regional operations for several KET towers.  He was a passionate tennis player in his younger years and enjoyed playing in tournaments.  He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching all types of sporting events and he enjoyed trips to Rising Star and Hollywood casino boats.

Larry is survived by his children, Maria (Tim) Ward of Warsaw, David Larmour of Atlanta, GA and Andy (Anna) Larmour of Owenton; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brothers, Chuck (Micki) Larmour, Mike (Debbie) Larmour, Jerry (Susan) Larmour, and John (Judy) Larmour; his sisters-in-law, Susan and Eileen Larmour as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend Chung Cheung.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 3-6 PM.  This will be a pass-thru visitation with masks and social distancing required. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.
