Lanny Wayne Wright, Jr.

Lanny Wayne Wright, Jr., age 51, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Junior was born May 26, 1970, in Frankfort. A graduate of Owen County High School, he loved playing cards and cutting up with friends, playing pool, and fishing.  He also used to enjoy playing softball with the Owen County Ball Busters.

He will be missed by his parents, Lanny and Jo Ann Holbert Wright; his children, Kaitlyn and Tanner Wright; his siblings, Donnie Wright and Tammy (Mikel) Wright Perkins; nephews, Austin, Colby, and Corey; and his special family friend, Randall Gaines, who he always enjoyed picking on.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 5 -7 pm. A memorial service will follow at 7 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to McDonald & New Funeral Homes for expenses.
