Korey Wayne Wilson, 32 of Owenton, Kentucky passed away on December 23, 2023.
Born November 22, 1991, in Edgewood, Kentucky. He is the son of Lola Walters of Owenton and Brian Wilson of Sparta. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Mary Hisel Walters.
Korey is survived by his parents, sister: Sarah Jaeden Wilson; nephew: Harrison Thomas Gemmell whom he affectionately called "Nef" & himself "Unk" both of Owenton; paternal grandparents: Lewis and Stella Louise Risner Wilson; aunts and uncles; Jamie ( Angela) Walters; Elbee (Shirley) Walters; Richard Walters, Jr; Joan Walters (Glenn) Stewart all of Owenton. Jackie Wilson (Rodney) Satchwell of Sparta; his beloved furry baby; Chance whom he referred to as his "Delinquent Child"; and a host of special cousins and friends that were so loved by him.
Korey was a die-hard Bengals fan who never faltered in his belief that they would get there next year. He wanted peace in his life and those around him. He had a kind and caring soul that would give you his last dime. His Momaw and Popaw Wilson were the LOVE that kept him going in a world of constant unrest. He always said, "I have to hug Momaw and Popaw and tell them I love them because it might be our last time." He did just that on his last day on earth. Korey, you were loved more than you could ever imagine, we hope your beautiful, loving soul is finally at rest. No more pain and no more sorrow.
