Kenneth D. Wainscott

Kenneth D. Wainscott, age 71, of Poplar Grove passed away Monday, December 1, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. Born March 21, 1944, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Walter and Emma Judy Wainscott and was preceded in death by his James and Dennis. Kenneth was master logger and timber buyer. He was an avid UK fan and enjoyed riding and showing horses. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Betty Margrave Wainscott; his son Brett (Crystal) Wainscott and his sisters, Peggy (Bobby) Cook and Judy (Tommy) Holbert and his granddaughter, Haley Bishop. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 11am to 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. Trent Holbert and Bro. Joe Beil officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poplar Grove Cemetery Fund.
