Katherine Chandler

Katherine B. Keith Chandler, 91, of Owenton, died Monday, January 19, 2009 at New Horizons Medical Center. Born September 5, 1917, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late William Timothy and Rena Florence Lilly Keith and the widow of Howard Chandler. She was also preceded in death by her brother Roy D. Keith and her sister Gladys Clifton. Mrs. Chandler was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Chandler is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. (Mary Margaret “Pete”) Chandler of Dry Ridge and Morgan L. (Gloria) Chandler of Owenton; two daughters, Betty Jean (Eddie) Keith of Owenton and Sherry C. (Tommy) Williams of Paris. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, January 21st, from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Thursday at the funeral home with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
