Junior Hensley

William G. "Junior" Hensley, Jr., age 88, of Carrollton and formerly of Owenton, passed away at the University of Louisville Hospital on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from injuries sustained in an accident.

Born May 22, 1934, in Jonesville, KY, he was the son of the late William G. and Stella Gordy Hensley.  He was the widower of Viola Dean Hensley. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ellis Hensley, Mary Virginia King, Josie Hammons, and Lena Sasher.  He was often called "Pepsi-Cola" or "Loose Joint" by friends.  Junior was a farm laborer and a member of Squiresville Baptist Church.  For years he loved driving around town with Viola, and later walking, talking, and joking with those he encountered.  Junior loved everyone and had many 'best friends'.

Junior is survived by several cousins and a host of extended family and friends.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 18, 2023, with visitation beginning at 10 am. Bro. Craig Howard will officiate the services and Juior will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
