June Turner

June Carol Turner, age 82, of Lexington, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at Homestead Post Acute Care Center in Lexington.

Born August 22, 1940, in Owenton, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Fannie Shelton Frazier.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Norma Marksberry. June was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and loved her family deeply.  She didn't let her disability keep her from giving back. For several years she would pack her lunch, board the transit bus by herself, and spend her days helping at Northern Ky Comprehensive Care's Greenhouse. She took great pride in the activity and loved the socialization opportunity. In her past time she enjoyed crafting doll clothes from scratch.

June will be missed by her aunt and roommate, Billie Bourne; her niece Cassie Marksberry; and her nephew Nathan Marksberry.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2024 at 2 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier officiating. Please meet at the Main Street location at 1:45 to travel in procession to the Squiresville Cemetery.
