Julie Marie Poe Smith

Julie Marie Poe Smith, age 53, of Berea, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024.

Born June 10, 1970, in Edgewood, KY, she was the daughter of the late Patricia Ayres Witt and John Poe, Jr. who survives. Julie enjoyed crafting and raising flowers and was an avid animal enthusiast.  Her biggest passion however was being "Granny" to her grandchildren.

Julie is survived by her father, John Poe, Jr.; her children, Nicole (James Stamper) Smith and James Devin (Ashley) Smith; step-children, Kylie and Austin Johnson and Crissy and Zach Trowbridge; grandchildren, Blake, Brennan & Taylor Messer, Aubree, Adalynn, and Anderson James Smith, and Riley Trowbridge; her longtime boyfriend, Shawn Trowbridge; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 11 am until 1 pm.  Memorial services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Larry Case presiding. Memorial contributions are encouraged to New Funeral Homes in care of the family.
