Judy Carole Thomas

Judith Carole Thomas, age 67 of Sparta passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. Born October 17, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Mary Osborne Young and was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas and her son Jamie Thomas. Judy was retired from Owen Electric and worked part time at the Ramada Inn in Sparta. She was also a farmer and a member of the Sparta Christian Church. Survivors include her son, Jimmie Dick (Brenda) Thomas; her sister, Diane Green both of Sparta; four grandchildren, Jamie (Jason) Thomas of Sparta, Julia King of Carrollton. J.R. Thomas of Carrollton and Joshua Thomas of Henry County. Six great grandchildren also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location from 4-8pm on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 10am Thursday with Bonnie Gregory officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sparta Christian Church.
