Juanita (Oneida) Scott, 82 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Sunday March 7th at the Gallatin Healthcare Center in Warsaw. Born December 10, 1927, she is the daughter of the late James Garfield Adams and Marie Higgins Adams. Juanita accepted Christ into her life in 1964. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tony Scott; two brothers: Denver and Damon Adams and two grandchildren: Jamellus White and Anita Marie Gibson. Juanita is survived by two sons: Walter Johnson of Louisville, Jimmy Ray Gibson of Cincinnati; six daughters: Dorothy White (James) of Atlanta, Sylvia Wilson (Sam) of Barbourville, Ky, Brenda Gibson, Linda Gibson, and Diane Jones (John) all of Cincinnati, and Gloria White (Joe) of Warsaw; two sisters: Mary Wallace of Cincinnati and Alvenia Adams of Dayton Oh; two uncles: Bennett (Margaret) Adams of Sassafras, Ky, and Claster Adams of Springfield, Oh and one auntie: Josephine Jackson of Columbus, Oh. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins as well as two special friends Lula Hensley and Donnie Jones. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 10th, from 4 to 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will begin Thursday, March 11th, at 11am and will be held at the funeral home. Roger Wilson and Steve Klug will be officiating. Burial will be in the Paint Lick Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw.
