J.T. Wright

Born April 8, 1929, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Omar and Cora Wilhoite Wright and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Davis Wright; his infant daughter, Judy Ann Wright; grandson Stacy Wright; and great-granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth; siblings, Jimmy Wright, Omar Wright, Jr., Mae Wright, Rachel Clark and Lou Ann Wright.
J.T. was a tobacco and cattle farmer and also raised hay. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing playing cornhole and watching UK Basketball and Cincinnati Reds Baseball.
He is survived by his children, Eddie (Dottie) Wright, Mary (Jimmy) Wilson, J.W. (Linda) Wright, Linda (Marvin) Lewis, Barbara (Larry) Moore, Paul Wright and Don (Lori) Wright; his sisters, Mary Ruth, Barbara Allen, Betty Jo Gregory and Nellie Harnal; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street Funeral Home on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Friday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and Memorial Contributions may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Home.
