Joyce Lafferty

Joyce Lafferty age 88, of Sparta, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her home.

Joyce Lafferty was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 11, 1932 to W.O. Bradley Stewart, Sr. and Ada Chipman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Robert 'Bobby' Lafferty, Jr. and her siblings Rosemary Arthur, James Stewart, Clarence Stewart, W.O. Bradley Stewart, Jr., a grandson Devin Vandt; as well as a great-grandson Nolan Harris. Joyce is a retired Shipping Clerk for Cincinnati Milacron. She was a member of Sparta Christian.

She is survived by her children; Tara (Ron) Vandt, Valerie (Alan) Chelf, Charles Michael (Tina) Lafferty; and her eight grandchildren; Sarah Heichelbech, Anna Lafferty, Jonathan Lafferty, Megan Casper, Ronna Vandt, Charlotte Vandt, Landon Chelf, Sylvia Chelf; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Burk.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Owenton Cemetery for a graveside service on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 beginning at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sparta Christian Church.
