Joyce Eldridge Combs

Joyce Eldridge Combs, 66, of Owen County, died unexpectedly at her home Monday, August 10, 2009. Born May1 5, 1943, in Livingston, TN, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertie Vincent Lacy and the widow of Norman Combs. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jesse, Curtis, Alfred and Roland Lacy and Lilian Walker. Joyce was a homemaker and a quilter. She is survived by her son, Fred Roberts, Jr. of Jonesville and her daughter, Tammy Carmack of Monterey. Thirteen grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Graveside services will be held at 11am Wednesday in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery, with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier officiating. In Lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to funeral expenses.
