Joy Burnette

Regina “Joy” Burnette, age 56 of Frankfort, passed away Monday, November 15th at her residence. Born August 4, 1954 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Eugene and Lou Parker Ballard. Joy was retired from the Finance Cabinet as a purchasing agent and was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Charlie (Leisha) Burnette and Stephen Burnette both of Frankfort and four grandchildren, Caleb Neville, Dustin, Savannah and Nickolas Burnette. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, November 18th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery.
