Joseph Scott Nunnelley

Joseph Scott "Joe" Nunnelley, age 36, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, June 1st from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born April 10, 1978, in Frankfort, KY, he was employed by Mason Construction in Lexington. Joe was a 1996 graduate of Owen County High School where he played baseball. He loved being outdoors and farming and was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford & Mildred Acree and Robert and Frances Nunnelley. Surviving are his parents, Hope Acree (John) Colligan of Owenton and Terry (Trudy) Nunnelley of Berry; his girlfriend, Echo Cummins; his brother, Jason Nunnelley of New Liberty; his step sisters, Amanda Perrin and Tonya Wigglesworth; his grandparents, John & Barbara Colligan of Owenton and a host of extended family and friends. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier and Bro. Trent Holbert presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owenton Manor.
