Johnny Gentry

Johnny Gentry, age 51, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Born September 19, 1969, in Frankfort, KY, he was the son of the late Johnny and Shirley Anderson Gentry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Cloyd Gentry. Johnny enjoyed hunting and will be remembered for his love of the University of Louisville Basketball.

He is survived by his children, Johnathan Gentry of Owenton and Kimberly Gentry of Richmond; his grandson Leo Ames and his brothers Terry (Hilari) Gentry and Michael Gentry.  He will also be missed by a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A pass through visitation will be held on Friday September 25, 2020 at the Seminary Street location from Noon to 2PM. A graveside service will follow in the Monterey Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
