John Logan Wainscott, age 41, of Corinth, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
John Logan was born June 18, 1980, in Scott County, to Fay Burton Johnson and Charles "Bootie" Wainscott. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Burton and Logan and Toodles Perkins Wainscott. He was a member of New Columbus Baptist Church and owned John & Kase Wainscott Mowing. He worked hard at his business and always made sure his 'lines' were perfect. John Logan loved his family deeply and his dogs, Percy, Olaf, and Tucker. He enjoyed RC Trucks, playing cornhole, and going out to eat Hibachi. He was known as the 'favorite grandchild' in the Burton family, so of course, he would have to be the first to go be with his Papaw, John Burton.
He will be deeply missed by his son, Kase Logan Wainscott; his fiance, Crystal Nester, and bonus daughters, Allie & Lexie Nester; his parents, Fay & Randall Johnson and Bootie & Sissy Wainscott; his grandmother, Clara Burton; his brothers, Michael (Taunya) Wainscott, Ryan (Sierra) Wainscott & Charlie (Mariah) Wainscott; bonus sisters, Shannon Richarson, Chelsea Edwards, & Kailyn Edwards; nieces & nephews, Carleigh, Olivia, Ivagail, Tyler, Brandon, Emma, & Abby; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10 am until 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Brad Vincent presiding. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
