John William "Bill" Mason

John William “Bill” Mason, 90, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, October 14th, at the Harborside Healthcare Facility. Born March 13, 1918, in Owen County, he was the son of the late William Sanderson and Anna Lee Keith Mason. He was preceded in death by one brother, four half brothers, seven sisters and one half sister. Bill was a retired farmer and a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church where he was a deacon for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eura Kathryn O’Banion Mason; his son, Kenny Sanders Mason of Williamstown and two grandchildren, Paige Janell Mason of Dry Ridge and Chad Mason of Crittenden. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Thursday, October 16th, from 4 -8pm. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11am at the funeral home with Bro. Lee Harris presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
