John Holliday

John Maxie "Doc" Holliday, age 85 of LaGrange, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

He was born on May 9th, 1941, in Owenton, Ky, to the late Otha and Zella Holliday.

He was also preceded in death by his beloved son Bryan Neil Holliday of Owenton, KY, and 3 brothers. He worked for L & N CSX Railroad as a sheet metal worker and pipefitter prior to his medical disability leave.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Carol Mitchell Holliday; his daughter-in-law, Verna Holliday; his precious granddaughter, Emily Marie Holliday, who was the sunshine of his life; his sister, Gypsy Flowe of Matthews, NC; 4 step-grandchildren; and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in the Owenton Cemetery on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 2 pm with Bro. Jeremy Warren presiding.
