John Craigmyle

John Craigmyle, age 79, of Sparta passed away at his home on Friday, May 27, 2016. He was born September 1, 1936 in Owen County, he was the son of the late Suter and Ethel Samford Craigmyle. He was the widower of Patricia Ogburn Craigmyle and was also preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth. He was the owner of Craigmyle Truck and Trailer Sales, a farmer and a member of the Long Ridge Baptist Church where he was a deacon. Surviving are his daughter Kasey (Randy) Towles; four grandchildren, John Randall, Jubilee, Patrick and Chris (Danielle) Towles and one great grandchild, Logan. John is also survived by his siblings, F.D. Craigmyle, Ollie Dean Craigmyle, Betty Sue Lusby and Paul Craigmyle McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, May 31 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, June 1 with burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Long Ridge Baptist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
