Richard Joseph "Joe" Goodrich, III, age 63, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Joe was born January 5, 1959, in Owenton, to the late Richard and Mary Kathryn Howell Goodrich. Also preceding him in death were his siblings, Barbara Cook, Debbie Perry, and Judy Estes. Joe was a 1977 graduate of Owen County High School and a skilled carpenter. He worked in the construction trade all of his life, starting out building horse barns then later co-owning Cobb & Goodrich Construction with his good friend Paul Cobb. He loved being outdoors, fishing, coon hunting, and rabbit hunting. He enjoyed muscle cars, riding horses, and watching and betting on horse racing. He was a good friend who enjoyed, playing cards, and making others laugh. Most of all he prized being Poppa Joe to his grandkids.
Joe will be missed by his wife, Natasha Taylor Goodrich; his children, Aaron Goodrich, Sarah (Kevin) Hudson, Megan Goodrich, and Blake (Samantha) Collins; his grandchildren, Tyler, Shane, Landon, Jessa, Ashlee, Bindi, Earl, Charleigh, Amelia Grace, Nyah Lea, Ryli, and Taylor Jo; his great grandson, Ryder Joseph; his siblings, Carol Saylor, Paula Lilly, Tricia (Turk) Johnson, and Darrell Ernst; several nieces and nephews, and a host extended family also survive.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 3 - 6 pm. Funeral services will follow at 6 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Memorial contributions are suggested to McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
