Jobston "Jay" Threet

Jobston "Jay" Threet, age 88, of Owenton, passed away on Thursday, October 8th, 2026.

Born on April 7th, 1938, in Livingston, TN, Jay was the son of the late Trig and Rissie Norris Threet. He spent his career as an operator at Phillip Morris USA. His was dedicated to his faith, being a long time member of Gratz Baptist Church. In his free time, Jay loved to spend time on his farm, and was dedicated to making sure it was always perfectly kept.

He is survived by his sisters, Haley Heard and Bessie Hegler of New Albany, IN; his nephew, Steve Wick; and a host of friends who will miss him deeply. Jay is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Joann McClure Threet; and his son, Billy Criswell.

Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery.
