Joann Threet

JoAnn McClure Threet, age 89, of Monterey, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in Owenton on June 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bill & Ruth Smither McClure of Monterey.

Jo Ann was married to Jobston "Jay" Threet for 40 years and & had a son, Billy Criswell, who preceded her in death.

In her early years, she enjoyed deer hunting and shopping for unique antiques. She was also very talented in her craft of sewing, creating many quilts and other items. JoAnn loved living in their log cabin on the farm and feeding her dogs and cats. She retired from the Phillip Morse factory, where she worked for many years as an inspector. She was a member of Gratz Baptist Church.

JoAnn leaves behind her husband, Jay, who will miss her dearly.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A private burial will take place in the Monterey Cemetery.
