Joan Orsburn

Joan Orsburn, age 89, of Owenton, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Owenton Healthcare & Rehabilitation.

Born October 26, 1934, in Owenton to the late Robert and Ruby Stewart Osborne, she was preceded in death by her siblings Freddie and L.J. Osborne and Joyce Welch. Known to friends and family as Joann, she was a member of the Owenton Methodist Church and was a faithful and dedicated employee of Morgan & Thomas Drugstore for over 40 years.

She is survived by her husband Gilmer; her children Steve Orsburn and Tammy Bishop;  and a sister Freda Marston. Also surviving are grandchildren Derrick Braden, Cody Orsburn, Nikki Johnson, and Jessica Benson; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Braden, John Winkle, Haisley Orsburn, and Corbin and Emileigh Stivers; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 4 - 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday with Bro. Jared Gullion presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
