Jimmie Wainscott

Jimmie Wainscott, age 82, of Owenton passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Owenton Manor. Born April 25, 1928, in Owen County he was the son of the late Willie B and Ada Wainscott and was preceded in death by his brother and seven sisters. Mr. Wainscott was a member of the Cedar HIll Baptist Church and retired from the Department of Transportation with the Highway Department. He also served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lou Ann Criswell Wainscott and several nieces and nephews. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, January 7th from 4-9pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday with Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
